District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC)
The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) is the official voice of parents for our district. B.C.'s School Act says a DPAC's job is to advise Boards of Education on “matters related to education in the school district.”
The DPAC meets once a month and is made up of two members from each school's Parent Advisory Council (PAC). PACs also usually meet once a month and give parents a voice in the day-to-day happenings at their school.
PACs and the DPAC are a great way to be involved in your child's education. The collective voice of parents makes a difference and influences school district policies and initiatives.
